Aura Seeing

When learning to see ones aura, it takes time. So if you do not see anything in the first few attempts, don't get discouraged. When first starting it is probably best to work with a friend or partner.

There are 7 major aura colours which you can see, and these match the individuals dominant, most powerful chakra. However, if you are open and all your chakras are interconnecting, then you can see a vast array of colours.

  • Red: A very creative, life enhancing auric colour and can vary from brilliant scarlet to deep ruby. An overall red suggests energy, activity and courage. When the colour is a harsh or murky red tone, there can be anger, perhaps suppressed, that needs to be resolved or harnessed.

  • Orange: The person is independent, confident, and optimistic. A very pale orange can reflect uncertainty and low self-esteem.

  • Yellow: Is the auric colour of communication. When the aura is a golden yellow, the person is open, articulate, and very creative. When the yellow is dull, there may be some secrets and sometimes less-than honest intentions.

  • Green: Is the colour of the heart and the emotions and is especially dominant when relationships are the main issue. In matters of love, a clear green is a good sign of fidelity and in friendship it indicates trustworthiness. Pale green can suggest emotional dependency; A dull muddy green can conceal conflicting emotions or an emotional leech; Yellow-green can be a sign of possessiveness and unwarranted jealousy.

  • Blue: Is concerned with principles, justice and ideals. Bright blue is altruistic and the person will put the principles before personal gain. A dull blue can suggest that concern for convention is leading to rigidity.

  • Purple: Is the colour that deals with the spiritual and psychic side of human nature and is predominant in an intuitive person. When the auric purple is muddy or blurred, it implies that the person is spending too long on daydreaming and illusions.

  • White: Is a sign of a natural peacemaker. Bright and clear white shows the person will be receptive to your suggestions, fears, and feelings. A pale but clear white reveals inner harmony, but if the white is misty, you may be dealing with someone who sees other people's points of view so much that he or she is unlikely to reach any decisions without firm direction.

Seeing the aura

If working by yourself, work with a mirror.

If practicing with a friend, ask them to sit somewhere with a darkish background.

Sit quietly and throw your eyes slightly out of focus and concentrate 6-9 inches beyond the subject so that he or she is vaguely discernible but the general outline can be seen.

Try practicing around the head first because the colours will be stronger.

Strengthening the aura

Sit or lay quietly and relax, close your eyes and use either gold, silver, orange or yellow.

Focus with your mind's eye on the colour you've chosen and use the colour to cover your entire body.
